First Lady Nicole Newman
Our First Lady is the youngest of four children born to our founder Pastor Ervin Williamson and the late Missionary Bessie Williamson. Lady Nicole is a vessel of praise, as is her father and grandfather, and she gives her all in all worship services.
After graduating from Russell Sage College in she became a math teacher in the Schenectady City School District in 1993. In 1998 she received her master’s degree in math education and continues to teach in the Albany City School District. Considered a “master teacher” by many of her colleagues, she is often called upon by teachers and administrators to shares her expertise with those who may be struggling. Lady Newman believes that her occupation is not only a vocation, but a calling, and that despite what the media says, “our kids can do math!”
In 1991 she married our Pastor, the Elder Kenneth W. Newman Sr. and together they have been blessed with four beautiful children, Kenneth II, Ashley Nicole, Cameron Reese and Seanmichael Ervin. A constant believer not only in God’s call on her life but on Pastor Ken, she is right by his side upholding him in prayer and service.
Lady Nicole has held numerous positions in the church from the local to the state level: Sunday school teacher, choir director, Purity lady, Bible Band teacher, Praise and Worship leader, as well as district choir president and regional minister of music for NY Western 1st Jurisdiction COGIC.
Her aim and goal is to lift Him up until He speaks from eternity. According to Pastor Ken “ he prayed to God for a woman of God not just for where he was but for where he believes he is going”. He has found that woman in our First Lady.
