Pastor Kenneth Newman
At age fifteen, Pastor Kenneth W. Newman, Sr. joined the New Bethel Church of God in Christ in Waterbury, CT where the Superintendent Roland Rowe serves as founder and pastor. After accepting the Lord as is personal savior and being filled with the Holy Ghost, Pastor Newman immediately began to become involved in ministry at New Bethel. Pastor Newman served as an usher, Sunday School teacher, and choir member. With a love and passion for the youth, Pastor Newman accepted the appointment to serve as New Bethel’s Youth Director. Under his direction the youth department grew and became actively engaged in the “crusade circuit.” In addition, members of the youth department began to attend district, state, and national conferences including UNAC/AIM, and our national Holy Convocation in Memphis, TN.
In 1990, Pastor Newman relocated to Rensselaer, NY to marry his fiancée Evangelist Nicole L. Newman. He joined Holy Deliverance Church of God in Christ under the leadership of founder and Pastor Ervin Williamson. In June of 1991 Pastor Newman married Evangelist Nicole Williamson, the daughter of Pastor Williamson. To this union were born three young men of valor and one young woman of excellence; Kenneth, II, Ashley, Cameron, and Sean-Michael.
Pastor Newman became actively engaged as a member of Holy Deliverance. In 1992, Pastor Newman preached his first sermon at Holy Deliverance and became a licensed minister.
